screensaver.com   Extensive descriptions of each screen saver along with a preview image make this site a winner. The selection is not huge, but the ease of navigation and info given for each screen saver is excellent. Windows only.

FreeSaver.com   This is one of my favorite free screen saver sites despite the frames and the long download time. The specialty here is "no nag" savers, and there are lots of them! Thumbnails are provided along with a short description of each screensaver. There are screen savers for the Macintosh as well as Windows here.
