Surfdoggie's Review:
This is a photo of a meteor streaking across the sky on Saturday, September 15th, 2007. The meteor struck the earth in Southern Peru in the high Andes department of Puno in the Desaguadero region; this is near the border with Bolivia.
The meteor reportedly left a crater 100 foot wide by 20 foot deep. Once a meteor hits the earth the remains are called a meteorite. Residents complained of steam and bad smells coming from the crater and a mystery illness ensued.
